Staff Accountant

The ideal Staff Accountant is ambitious who likes working as a team to ensure all processes are followed, documented and updated. No surprises and month end closes like a high functioning machine. Able to identify issues and fix the root cause.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Update and create excel spreadsheets using advanced formulas
Completion and review of journal entries in connection with the month-end, quarter-end and fiscal year financial close process
Process payroll
Assist in the preparation of account reconciliations, monthly corporate reporting and financial statements
Calculate and process commission payments
Review, code and approve accounts payable timely and accurately
Assist on special projects, analyses and presentations as needed
