You might be a good fit for this Staff Accountant position if you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation.

Responsibilities

– Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

– Maintain intercompany transactions and reconciliation

– Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision

– Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

– In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

– Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses

– Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries

– Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner

– Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbook

Job Requirements:

– 2+ years experience with journal entries and month end close in a large company

– Excellent attention to detail

– Self-starter and strong ethical standards

– Competent with spreadsheets and databases

– Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

– BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting

– Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills

– Recent and relevant accounting experience

– Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills

– Spreadsheet and database capabilities

– Comprehensive knowledge of journal entries

– Command of Accrual Accounting

– Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience

– Experience with bank reconciliations

– Proven knowledge of cash reconciliations

– Well-founded grasp of Ledger Reconciliations

– Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
