STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Our client, a digital marketing company is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team. This person will have the great opportunity to support the accounting team by performing the required day-to-day operational tasks in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. This position will include duties such as full-cycle Accounts Payable, process invoices, check requests, check runs, vendor maintenance, handling vendor inquiries, process year-end 1099’s, process ACH payments, daily bank reconciliations, and accounts payable reconciliations. This position is an integral part of the accounting team and reports directly to the Corporate Controller.
Job Requirements:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Enter receivable and/or payable documents in the accounting system using the appropriate matching methods
• Review, sort and classify accounts payable and/or receivable documents
• Interface with internal and external vendors and maintain a good and professional relationship
• Research and resolve issues and discrepancies in a timely manner
• Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports, verifying information
• Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files & reconciling accounts
• Review and reconcile vendors’ statements, bank, and credit cards on regular basis
• Review financial statements for accuracy
• Prepare & gather documentation for annual audit
• Assist with monthly accruals & additional GL reconciliations
• File receivable/payable documents and maintain individual vendor’s file
• Prepare and submit wire transfer payment request
• Assist in the process of weekly vendor payments
• Process year-end 1099’s
• Preparation of daily cash & revenue updates
• Review GL accounts for accuracy
• Assist with Tax & Audit preparation
• Reconcile various balance sheet accounts for month-end & year-end closing cycle
• Additional Responsibilities as requested by management
KEY COMPETENCIES:
Education and Experience At least 2-3 years of corporate accounting experience Bachelors Degree or equivalent
Advanced Excel skills required in order to manage large amounts of data Microsoft Dynamics SL or equivalent accounting software experience preferred
