Staff Accountant – NW Atlanta – Bilingual Spanish
Accountants One is partnered with an innovative and growing construction company in NW Atlanta in search of a Staff Accountant.
The position is responsible for handling the day-to-day account payables process, DOT drivers and Insurance compliance, and work on the month-end close activities of the company and its subsidiaries. The Staff Accountant will interact with all levels of the organization and report directly to the Controller.
Job Requirements:
Job Duties
- Verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling accounts payable and responsible for weekly payment schedule for Cash Flow.
- Maintaining balance sheet accounts reconciliation updated as part of the month end closing
- Preparing year-end closes schedules requested by external auditor.
- Analyzing, summarizing, and presenting financial data as part of the month end closing.
- Completing Lease Equipment and Fixed Assets accounting
- Any additional tasks or projects assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related major preferred
- 1-3+ years of accounting/finance experience
- Construction industry experience preferred, but not required
- Experience working with QuickBooks and/or any accounting system
- Advanced Excel skills
- Methodical, detail-oriented, independent, and self-motivated
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish required
- Ability to work in-office required
