Vaco is seeking a Staff Accountant for an exciting client based in Conyers.
Contract-to-Hire opportunity that converts to a $52K salary.
New position that will be heavily involved in improving existing processes to better support the business.
Candidates to be considered must live in the Atlanta, GA area and able to work in-office and remote (hybrid).
Job Duties Staff Accountant will support all aspects of accounting and finance including:* verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable * maintaining the general ledger * preparing month
– and year-end closes * producing accurate accounting reports * analyzing, summarizing, and presenting financial information and reports.
Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant preferred * 3+ years of full time accounting / finance experience * Familiarity with financial accounting statements * Thorough knowledge of QuickBooks (or similar small business accounting software) * Knowledge of basic accounting principals * Advanced MS Excel skills * Methodical, detail oriented, independent, and self motivated * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Excellent written communication skills * Ability to make routine decisions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
