This company, based in the Northern California area, offers a challenging and multi-faceted opportunity where effort is rewarded. To succeed in this role, you will need to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes are also expected tasks. Do you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets? You’ll be preferred for this role.How you will make an impact- Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation- Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable- Maintain intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation- Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks- Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives- Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease- Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting- Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP- Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations- Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll- Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requestedJob Requirements:- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics AND a CPA license are required- 3+ years of commercial real estate investment accounting experience required. 5+ years of progressive in public accounting and private industry preferred- Experience with Yardi and advanced MS Excel are required.- Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills- Financial Statement preparation, general ledger, GL & bank account reconciliation, joint venture accounting, intercompany accounting, CAM reconciliation required.For immediate consideration, please call Amanda Howell at 707-578-3355 after applying to this job.- Practical knowledge of Quickbooks Online- Payroll Tax experience- Hands-on experience with journal entries- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement- Spreadsheet and database capabilities- Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills- Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required- Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines- Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity- Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databasesRobert Half Finance & Accounting matches skilled professionals with remote or on-site jobs in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more on a full-time basis.
