Reporting to the Associate Director of Accounting, the Senior Accountant is a key contributor in the Finance organization who supports accounting operations and prepares other ad hoc analysis as required.

He/she is an accounting professional with experience in a fast-paced private or public company environment who has demonstrated experience supporting the accounting function to meet the needs of a changing and growing business.

You Will:
Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing duties, including preparing journal entries, variance reporting, reconciliations, and account analysis to ensure compliance with U.S.

GAAPPrepare supporting documents for internal/external auditorsHelp design, implement and maintain a thorough system of accounting process, policies and controls designed to accurately and efficiently close the booksApply a thorough understanding of GRAIL’s business to all aspects of the accounting functionResponsible for various accruals and reconciliationsAssist in maintaining regular contact and building solid working relationships with various groups to ensure a high level of customer serviceDrive process improvements and automation to improve efficienciesAssist on project and ad hoc assignments as needed
Your background should include:
Must have 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, ideally a public accounting and private industry mixBachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.CPA desiredExperience with Netsuite and Coupa is preferredExcellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills requiredAble to prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines in a fast paced and growth oriented environmentAdvanced Excel and Google Suite of products (Sheets, Docs) is a plusProven analytical and project management skillsLogical and critical thinking skillsProven teamwork and collaboration skillsExperience in Life Science industries preferred
