Sr. Financial Analyst

Ambry Genetics

This is a Full-time position in Aliso Viejo, CA posted December 14, 2021.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Sr.

Financial Analyst will play an integral role in preparing US GAAP financial statements.

Ambry currently operates under IFRS guidance, and this position will contribute to converting IFRS trial balance to US GAAP monthly.

This position will also be responsible for maintaining US GAAP GL account reconciliations and supporting the month-end close process.

Evaluate current processes, make suggestions for improvements, and lead implementation of process changes.

Apply automation to reconciliation schedules, and financial reporting, while preserving the integrity of SOP documentation.

Prepare financial statements for internal and external stakeholders.

Analyze differences between financial results, and planned performance.

Financial modeling and adhoc analysis as needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare accurate and timely US GAAP consolidated financial statements
  • Make suggestions for process improvements over financial reporting and internal control
  • Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for internal and external stakeholders
  • Create standardized reporting for daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Monthly flux analysis with commentary for Balance Sheet and P&L.

    Present flux analysis to management

  • Continuous cash forecasting, and treasury responsibilities
  • Assist with AOP planning and reporting
  • Engages with various departments that facilitates information gathering and sharing
  • Support financial statements audits, and tax compliance requests
  • Maintain current and accurate SOP’s for accounting functions

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extremely driven and motivated

  • Strong organization skills
  • Deadline oriented, with an emphasis on accuracy
  • Accountable, and team player
  • Capable of working independently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Continuous improvement to individual and departmental goals
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA (preferred)
  • IFRS and US GAAP (strongly preferred)
  • JSOX compliance
  • SAP, XIFIN, Tableau, BI Software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PPT and Access)
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting and/or finance
  • SEC reporting (10Q and 10K)
  • Participated in PCAOB audits
