Sr. Director Hospital Finance

Holy Redeemer

This is a Full-time position in Meadowbrook, AL posted November 18, 2021.

The Senior Director, Hospital Finance reports to the Redeemer Health Vice President of Financial Reporting and Acute Care.The role requires knowledge of the general ledger and preparation of the financial statements of for the hospital.

The position oversees the utilization of the Sorian Financial Decision Support System (DSS).The DSS allows for the preparation of ad-hoc reporting and this position will provide the analyses of data critical to Hospital Department Directors as they develop and monitor strategic initiatives.The director will oversee the daily reporting of financial and statistical information for the Hospital as compared to budget and ensure integrity of this data.

Will maintain analyses to audit the data integrity of Hospital financial information and report opportunities for improvement to the respective Redeemer Health employees and facilitate desired outcome .

Will work with hospital leaders to support and manage the development, preparation and coordination of the annual operating and capital budget for the Hospital.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:

· Four-year college degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with MBA/CPA/CMA/FHFM preferred.

· Seven to ten years minimum experience in a healthcare facility with knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, Medicare, Medicaid regulations and other reimbursement methodologies along with experience in general ledger and cost accounting methodologies, and budgeting systems.

· Knowledgeable of a forecasting /planning process for annual budgets as well as quarterly forecasting.

Knowledge of Managed Care contracts with analytical skills to analyze proposals.

· Experience dealing with senior management, as well as interacting with other system-wide employees outside of one’s individual department, with particular emphasis on interaction with the Hospital finance & department operational managers.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks & responsibilities concurrently, as well as meeting deadlines while documenting work flows clearly & precisely.

· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral as well as analytical skills with close attention to detail and accuracy.

· Technology Requirements: Knowledge of personal computers and most current versions of Excel, Word & other Microsoft Office applications required.

Knowledge of Hospital Cost Accounting and Budgeting Systems, Report Distribution Systems, General Ledger and Materials Management systems.

· Individual will be required to assume other duties as assigned.
