Accountant Compensation: $65000.00 to $85000.00 yearly Robert Half Finance currently has a vacancy for a full-time Senior Accountant to bring their leadership skills and experience to a growing finance team in the COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado area.

As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting.

Key responsibilities
– Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
– Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
– Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
– Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
– Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
– Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
– Engage in various department-wide initiatives
– Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
– Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks) Job Requirements:
– Skilled at time management
– Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
– Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
– Excellent communication and organizational skills
– Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
– 5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
– BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
– Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills
– Good understanding of Contract Drawings
– Previous experience working with budget forecasting
– General familiarity with General Ledger System
– Command of Analyze Financial Statements
– Full Cycle Payroll experience highly preferred
– Financial Statement experience
– Comprehensive knowledge of Job Cost
– Practical knowledge of benefits payroll
– Cash Flow Forecasts experience highly valued
– Financial statement preparation experience
– Earlier work involving Construction Drawings
– Background working with Accounts Receivable (AR)
– Demonstrated knowledge of general ledger
– Adeptness in billing
– Accounts Payable (AP) experience highly desired
– Skilled with ERP systems
– Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
– Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
