• Security Clearance: Must meet the criteria to be approved for and maintain an MBI (Moderate Risk Background Investigation) security clearance

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Accountant is an integral piece of the accounting and financial reporting of IMG. The Senior Accountant works directly with other departments, specifically when facilitating month end close.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Integral to monthly financial close process
• Preparation of other internal analysis / management reports
• Preparation of reconciliations and journal entries
• Carrier reporting and analysis
• External and internal audit preparation and assistance
• Facilitation of certain tax filings
• Facilitation of accounting software support
• Maintenance of cash flow information

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to meet the criteria to be approved for and maintain an MBI security clearance
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting and at least 5 years of accounting experience
• Strong background of accounting knowledge, ie. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Financial reporting experience
• Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel

PREFERRED

• Accounting experience with an insurance firm
• Experience in a multidivisional organization
• International accounting experience
• MS Dynamics software knowledge
• CPA
