Senior Technical Accountant – Req #1061

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports.
• Develop and analyze reporting for business operations and budgets.
• Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements.
• Create new processes to improve financial efficiency.
• Report analysis and findings to management team.
• Provides analysis on financial information through the review of supporting documentation provided throughout the reporting process, business developments, and preparation of financial information.
• Leads the coordination of the preparation of the Company’s quarterly and annual reporting: SEC reporting (Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, Form 8-K and registration statements as required) and FERC reporting.
• Leads the preparation, formatting and tagging of SEC reports in preparation for filing: Includes updating reports in Wdesk software, conforming to Corporate Headquarter’s standards, performing XBRL tagging, and reviewing support for filings.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s in accounting or another related field.
• 4-6 years of related experience with emphasis in finance, regulatory reporting, or financial analysis.
• Previous experience in office environment preferably in accounts payable, payroll, fixed assets, general ledger and accounts receivable areas.
• Strong attention to details and compliance with accounting procedures.
• Good communication skills.
• Detail and deadline-oriented.
• Good mathematical/computational skills
