Senior Tax Accountant Small CPA firm based in Maple Grove currently searching for a Senior Tax Accountant.
We are a 32 year old growing organization, offering a casual, small business environment in a beautiful Arbor Lakes office.

Primary Responsibilities
· Review and prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals and businesses that are complete and ready for assembly and signature
· Research issues and prepare work papers related to tax audits and correspondence and draft response
· Prepare tax projections and draft letter of explanation
· Review and prepare other various tax filings
· Set up new client’s bookkeeping and payroll systems
· Check monthly/quarterly QuickBooks files, prepare journal entries, and draft comments letter
· Review and prepare payroll tax returns, make electronic payments, and draft letter of instruction
· Research tax issues and develop actions plans related to tax returns and projections
· Represent clients before the IRS and other taxing authorities
· Serve as a tax information source within the company
· Develop working relationships with clients and effectively utilize appropriate technology to communicate
· Assist with development of Facebook, tax blog, twitter, and email marketing
· Join Community organizations and/or networking events
· Bring additional business to the firm through new clients and new work from existing clients Position Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and three or more years’ related experience and/or training
· Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of clients, customers and the general public
· Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and/or governmental regulations
· Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
· Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
As well as apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications CPA and experience working for a public accounting firm are preferred QuickBooks, Lacerte , UltraTax or similar tax/accounting software Key Competencies for Success in This Role

Hours and Compensation
· Ability to regularly work 40-45 hours per week, with more during busy tax season
· PTO and Paid Holiday Time

· Annual Salary $70,000
– $86,000
