Responsibilities: This position is responsible for accounting, monitoring, reporting and analysis of business activity related to the company’s financial instruments, including derivatives.
This position supports investment accounting’s financial close activities, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement schedules, as well as the accompanying footnotes and miscellaneous financial reporting requests.
The position requires knowledge of related accounting guidance, including ASC 815, Derivatives and Hedging.
The position requires proactively identifying and solving the most sophisticated problems that impact the investment accounting function.
This position also: Leads a cross-functional team responsible for derivatives and multi-currency investments, including the evaluation and implementation of derivative accounting and reporting standards.
Participates in the investment accounting component of projects to develop or improve systems, processes and protocols.
Monitors and evaluates the impact of proposed accounting standard changes and assists in the interpretation and implementation of accounting policies.
Drives technology and automation efforts and assists the investment accounting manager with developing process improvements and increased efficiency within the department.
