Senior Financial Analyst – San Antonio, TX

Analyzes monthly budget variance reports to identify any large deviations of actual results from budget and seeks to identify underlying root cause.

Additional responsibilities will include working with the Capital Portfolio managers and project managers to identify financial benefits and/or cost savings related to programs and projects for Clinic Operations.

This will require a thorough understanding of each program or project, so applicable benefits can be more easily identified and quantified.

nn nn nn nn Primary Responsibilities: nn Research and quantify appropriate benefits/cost savings to be included on the cost
– benefit analysis for Clinic Operations capital projects Analyze G & A budgets and variance reports for Clinic Operations to determine completeness and accuracy Produce ad hoc reports for internal customers Support medical management with data / analytical needs Identify trends in data and makes appropriate recommendations to business leaders Perform data manipulation Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all internal resources nn nn nnYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.nn nn nn nn Required Qualifications: nn Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting (2 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years listed below may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree) 2+ years of progressive financial analysis experience Solid data mining and analytical skills Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel Proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications to include Word, PowerPoint and Outlook Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe.
