The Sr.
Finance Analyst will have primary responsibility for supporting the business in underwriting new development deals and managing the performance of current development deals and business operations.
The position will work closely with senior management and third party capital providers.
In addition, the Sr.
Finance Analyst is responsible for the management, oversight, review and development of the Finance Analyst.
Responsibilities
- Deal Underwriting
- Develop underwriting models for potential tenant, build to suit, land, sale and lease back, loan financing and capital structuring transactions
- Prepare multiple scenario analysis to support pricing decisions and deal approvals
- Ensure integrity of models and that approved models are preserved for historical reference with updates to flow through revised forecast models
- Effectively partner with equity partners, debt providers and advisors on model developments, assumptions and scenario planning
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Drive the development of entity level budgets for all T5 operating companies and assets
- Partner with the finance team to ensure timely reporting of budget to actual variances on a monthly basis
- Drive the development and implementation of quarterly reforecasting across all operating companies and assets
- Develop user friendly updating tools for business leaders to update forecast assumptions that can then be integrated into business and asset forecast models
- Ensure development models are updated to reflect annual budgeted costs each year
- Partner with Finance leadership to drive an effective performance reporting culture through the organization
- Development Model Management
- Ensure all development models are updated monthly for actual costs on a timely basis
- Ensure capitalization summaries are updated monthly and integrated into development models
- Partner with capital partners to ensure model consistency at all times.
- Critically assess development model functionality at all times and part with private equity finance members on improvement opportunities
- Cash Management
- Drive the implementation of a flexible rolling monthly cash flow forecasting schedule for all entities that incorporates capital and operational forecasting cash flows
- People Management & Development
- Day-to-day supervision of the Finance Analyst
- Develop detailed performance objectives, goals and measurement standards for the Finance Analyst
- Formally track and review performance against objectives, goals and measurement standards
- Other such duties as you may be asked to perform from time to time in support of T5 operations.
Education
- College degree in Business or Finance, required
- Master’s in Business Administration or related area, preferred
- Completion of an Investment Bank Analyst Training Program with a major financial institution, required
- At least 2-3 years of direct investment banking experience with experience in debt and equity raises, required
- At least 3 years of commercial finance experience, preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- A superior working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, required
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate with business leaders and capital partners, required
- Handle confidential information in a sensitive and professional manner, required
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines while working independently, required
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization, required
