Nature and Scope:The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) position will join our Financial Planning and Analysis department based in our corporate office in Hickory, NC.
This position applies technical, analytical and problem-solving skills to provide relevant, accurate and timely information for a portfolio of communities and investments.
The SFA will be the lead for the annual budgeting process for the assigned portfolio.
The SFA creates and maintains templates and reports for the executive team.
Prepares facility level reports for executive leaders used in the monthly financial reviews which involves meetings held with the SFA, executive leaders, and operators.
Facilitates the training with administrators on the use of the budget software tool and works with facilities to solve problems encountered in the use of the budget software tool.
Assists budget administrators and corporate executive management teams with understanding how to best utilize the information.
Demonstrates competencies in decision support including analyzing, producing, compiling and presenting information to support executive decision making.
The SFA will directly report to the Finance Manager.Minimum Eligibility Requirements: Senior Care Business acumen.
Healthcare Finance, investment, financial planning or structured finance preferred.
Detail oriented with exceptional quantitative and analytical skills required.
Excellent communication skills and with ability to speak knowledgeably and fluently to groups of all levels internally and externally.
Ability to actively and honestly communicate relevant information to supervisor and other team members in a timely manner, taking necessary precautions to guard confidential information.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task required.
Strong problem-solving skills required with the ability to tactfully handle stressful and difficult situations.

Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Word skills preferred.
Advanced Excel spreadsheet modeling skills required.Essential Functions: Work closely with Company owners, operators, investors, and other financial analysts to monitor the financial operations of assigned portfolio.
Create and analyze facility valuations, capital stacks, sources and uses documents.
Review financial covenant compliance.
Create and analyze income statements, and other financial and operational reports to provide decision support to operations and development teams.
Prepare weekly surveillance reports for each facility under management.
Create and/or maintain templates and reports for the annual budget review process.
Review profit and loss statements on a monthly basis with key leaders.
Assist with annual operating budgets, forecasts, statistical reports, and cash flow projections.
Analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance.
Prepare return on investment analyzes for various capital projects.
Ensure integrity, accuracy, and reasonableness of financial results.
Identify trends and recommend improvements accordingly.
Provide interpretation of financial policies, governmental legislation, and accounting theory.
Conduct special studies to analyze complex financial projects and prepare recommendations for financial investments or future policies.
Interpret and apply corporate financial policies, government legislation, and accounting theory.

Performs other duties as assigned.Education/Professional Requirements: Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related required.
Advanced Degree Preferred.
3-5 years of finance/healthcare experience required.
