Senior Finance Manager

The opportunity

This is an opportunity for a highly motivated finance manager to join a rapidly evolving business.

This position is a crucial component of the corporate team, responsible for financial reporting and providing analytical support that ranges from macro-level strategic issues to crisp micro-level financial analyses that indicate go/no-go recommendations.

The right candidate will be a great partner, have an owner’s mentality, and be comfortable working closely with all management levels to help manage operational costs.

Many assignments will be highly ambiguous and require an independent, intellectually curious individual who can frame situations through multiple lenses including the end-customer, business owner, and corporate finance professional.

Controllership is a priority.

You improve controls to address financial risk and educate business partners on financial and non-financial trade-offs.

You make thoughtful judgement calls in ambiguous environments.

Oversee financial reporting.

Understand input drivers and validate integrity of the reporting to influence strategic decision-making and planning.

Use data to identify disruptive ideas and provide advice to business leaders across the globe.

Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated and timely.

Perform financial analysis to support/influence business decisions.

Support long range process work, including developing business cases to secure funding for capital projects and other initiatives to drive growth.

Manage annual tax returns, payroll, gross receipts, and other business tax returns and informational filings.

Proven track record of advanced analytical skills, financial modeling, attention to detail, dealing with ambiguity, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

About you

You are self-directed, eager to learn, and thrive when owning your domain end-to-end in an ambiguous startup environment.

Your strong organizational skills enable you to work on multiple projects in parallel and you have a proven track record of delivering results.

We are looking for someone who has
BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) or equivalent Advanced degree, CPA or MBA desirable 6+ years of finance experience Demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills Ability to build partnerships across functions Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Quickbooks, Oracle, SAP, OneStream) Ability to travel if needed to various locations (this role will require minimal travel, but we always like to ask!)
