Job Description
The Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) will lead the creation and implementation of Elwyn’s DEI strategy and initiatives.
The Director drives systemic change to increase diversity, representation and build programs that foster an inclusive culture of belonging.
Partners with the DEI Steering Committee, leaders and others across functions to support and champion a diverse, multicultural workplace where all employees can achieve and contribute to our mutual success.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and implements, in consultation with the DEI Steering Committee the organization’s DEI strategies including initiatives, programs, tools and supporting processes.
- Ensures leadership, diversity, equity and inclusion strategies and best practices are well communicated and widely adopted within the company
- Works closely with the VP of Employee Engagement and Development, HRBPs and client leadership to lead the development and implementation of a systemic DEI strategy
- Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) in DEI related people processes, policies, educational programs, initiatives, and trainings
- Maintains a strong understanding of diversity issues and trends; educates internal partners on diversity, equity and inclusion issues.
- Supports the Business Line HR Directors and HR Team members to ensure DEI&B cultural awareness and educational trainings are incorporated into organizational culture and practices
- Supports the Talent Acquisition team on diversity sourcing techniques, best practices, attraction strategy, and social media content; participates in recruiting events, job fairs and career fairs as needed
- Creates, captures, and reports on key DEI metrics with insights on causes and solutions
- Partners with Marketing and Communications to develop seamless, authentic diversity communication strategy; develops content and branding to disseminate DEI strategy and tactics and inspire a culture of belonging.
- Leads and supports the evolution of the Employee Resource Groups; coaches and sets direction for leads, executive sponsors and participants
- Oversee, manage, and champion annual diversity budget, ongoing workplan, and the pursuit of external partnerships
- Acts as a spokesperson for Elwyn regarding DEI focus and efforts
- Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS :
- 3-5 years experience leading DEI efforts in a company or community impacting at least 3,000 people
- Proven track record of measurable change in key DEI metrics or objectives of strategies you implemented
- Proven track record as a problem solver and simplifier of processes
- Prior ability to deliver difficult messages and create change in culture, process and/or systems
- Successful track record in developing and executing a strategy and securing organization wide support
- Experience leading change management for both process and behavior changes, including an understanding of how different subcultures impact the change process
- Operational expertise in designing, implementing and improving DEI programs that support broad ranging employee groups and needs
- Excellent presentation skills; comfortable presenting to groups of all sizes and varying levels of the organization
- Excellent relationship skills and a track record collaborating with and proactively supporting internal stakeholders and of challenging the status quo
- Proven track record for using data and experiential information to inform decisions and actions
- Demonstrated ability to identify and share emerging trends in culture and DEI
- Demonstrated intermediate experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; report-writer experience preferred
