Senior Analyst, Financial Reporting

This is a Contract position in Greenwich, CT posted September 6, 2021.

Incredible teams doing exceptional work, every day.In Accounting, were responsible for recording and reconciling financial transactions, processing vendor payments, processing payroll, calculating and remitting taxes.

We also produce external and internal financial reports and interpret accounting guidance.

: The Senior Analyst will be involved in implementing new accounting/regulatory guidance impacting financial reporting, analyzing accounting/financial reporting issues, and participating in other financial reporting initiatives.

The Senior Analyst will be responsible for completing external financial disclosures for SEC and FDIC reporting purposes (including earnings release, 10-Q, 10-K and Call Report).

The Senior Analyst will also be involved in ad-hoc analysis related to accounting/financial reporting topics.

What youll do as aSenior Analyst, Financial Reporting:Work with other team members in Financial Reporting and Accounting Policy, Accounting, Finance, Credit Administration, Loan Servicing, and other business units on implementation of new accounting/regulatory guidance, including writing memos and various aspects of project management.Research and provide guidance on accounting and financial reporting issues.Prepare schedules and disclosures in accordance with SEC or FDIC requirements and organize/maintain applicable supporting documentation for every filing.

Perform financial analyses and reconciliations.

Lead or assist with ad-hoc accounting/financial reporting projects.Update and maintain documentation with respect to internal controls over financial reporting (Sarbanes Oxley).

Interact with independent auditors; coordinate audit requests.Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.Performs other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e.

Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.), 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.

: You could be a great fit if you have:Bachelors degree in Accounting.At least 3 years of experience (equivalent to at least 3 busy seasons) at a Big 4 (external audit) or mix public accounting/SEC reporting experience.Banking experience preferred.CPA preferred.Strong understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.Excellent analytical and organizational skills.Detail-oriented approach to problem solving and ability to learn systems (reporting, record keeping, etc.) and processes quickly.Effective interpersonal skills.Strong written and oral communication skills.Proficiency in Word and Excel.Oracle and Hyperion experience a plus.Workiva experience a plus.Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and meet tight deadlines.Self-motivation and a strong interest in accounting and reporting issues.Team player mindset.Drive to provide extraordinary service and further First Republic Bank culture and values.Job Demands: Must be able to review and analyze data reports and manuals; must be computer proficient.Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and in person.Must be able to travel as position requires.May be required to lift 25-50 lbs.Own your work and your career
