This position will be critical in supporting our diverse client base with all facets of accounting (GL, AP, AR, Payroll and reconciliations) requiring occasional travel to client sites.Develop and maintain accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statementsAddress tight deadlines with a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, cash flow management, AP, AR, payroll and reconciliationsParticipate and lead accounting software implementations or upgrades on client sitesRoutinely communicate with senior-level executives and decision makers within each organization relating to financial close, issues and deliverablesTrain and supervise staff accountants on day to day functionsAssist in corporate and business owner tax matters as requiredWHAT YOU’LL NEEDBS in Accounting/Finance or related field required or equivalent experienceCPA license preferred but not required.
3-5 years of experience in all facets of accounting including GL, AP, AR, PR and reconciliationsStrong analytical and accounting skillsProficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient at understanding and analyzing complex operating agreements.Ability to set priorities and with excellent time management skills; enjoy working independently with clear deadlines and deliverablesExperience in Property management accounting, rent schedule analysis, lease processes administration, and coordination with property managerExperience in capital call/loan draw preparation, preferred returns, IRR and waterfall calculations.Well versed and certified in multiple accounting software including QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Intacct; able to shift from one to another.
Property management software experience such Yardy Breeze, Buildium, Re-leased, Sage 300 (Timberline) experience preferred.
