SUMMARY
The primary function of the Senior Accountant is to perform a variety of routine and non-routine accounting functions with a focus on financial reporting and general ledger accounting, as well as ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls and accuracy of financial transactions and balances.
The objective of the position will be to ensure that the financial results are properly reported based on U.S.
generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the corporate liaison for assigned subsidiaries, providing assistance with operational and financial questions as needed.
Ensure accounting for assigned subsidiaries is in accordance with US GAAP.
This includes a periodic review of reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, investigation of budget vs.
actual variances, and analysis of balance sheet and income statement fluctuations.
Ensure proper and timely recording of intercompany charges and payments.
Assist in the preparation of internal financial reporting packages.
Assist in the preparation of external financial reporting, including the 10-Q and 10-K.
Research and provide guidance on technical accounting matters.
Assist with corporate accounting tasks and special projects as needed.
Occasional travel may be required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Degree Type: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Required Minimum Years of Experience: 5 years of financial accounting or audit experience, or a minimum 3 years of public accounting experience (2 years with CPA passed)
Comprehensive and technical knowledge of US GAAP
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and work well independently
Advanced use of Excel and other Microsoft Office products
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
2 years of Big 4 audit experience preferred
CPA
Public company experience and knowledge of SEC reporting requirements
Oracle ERP knowledge
Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) and Blackline
Experience with international subsidiary accounting a plus
Experience in multi-level consolidations a plus
