Senior Accountant

Our Client, an organic health and wellness company, is seeking a positive and skilled Senior Accountant to join our growing team.

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position affords the opportunity to join America’s fastest growing job sector while gaining valuable experience in both manufacturing and retail.

Responsibilities Main role in month-end close process Prepare GAAP and IFRS compliant financial statements Responsible for all aspects of the balance sheet, including prepays, accruals, etc.

Responsible for all balance sheet account reconciliations Responsible for retail and wholesale revenue reconciliations Prepare monthly journal entries & requisite support Main participatory role in the Company’s year-end audit process Prepare supporting documentation and schedules as requested Work as a part of the team to ensure smooth, accurate flow of inventory and related transactions Ensure proper valuation of inventory and costs of goods sold at period end Perform monthly reconciliations and prepare monthly to/from inventory entry Qualifications BS or BA degree in Finance or Accounting CPA preferred, but not required Two to five years of experience in public accounting; exposure to manufacturing / retail a plus Knowledge of finance and accounting, including GAAP / IFRS, inventory management, and budgeting Proficiency with Microsoft office suite Experience with general ledger/ERP systems a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
