Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant – Sandy Springs, GA – $65,000 – $75,000 Accountants One has been hired by a leader in the food industry located in Sandy Springs to recruit a Senior Accountant to add to their team.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience working in Accounting with General Ledger and have their CPA or in process of getting their CPA.

Job Requirements: Duties: Maintain internal controls and protect company assets General Ledger Accounting for Advertising funds, Advertising and marketing expenses, Bank account reconciliations, Invoice, and miscellaneous accruals, vendor rebates, Escheatment, Customer inducements, Vendor, franchisee and other deposits, Intercompany debt and interest, Fixed Assets Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations and general ledger account analysis – prepare review presentations for accounting management Maintain General Ledger – New account set-up, Close/Adjust general ledger, work with accounting team to resolve issues Participate in external audit as necessary by assisting Manager in the preparation of required schedules and supplemental information and respond to inquiries of external auditors Help with special projects including transitioning roles to the corporate office Requirements: 4-year degree in Accounting 4 years of experience in Accounting CPA or CPA candidate preferred Quick service, franchise operations, and or hospitality industry experience a plus Systems implementation experience and process improvements a plus Proficiency with MS Office and Strong Excel skills a must Experience using an ERP (Microsoft AX, PeopleSoft, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, Oracle, Intacct) is required Experience preferred in: Lease Accounting Evaluation of goodwill and other indefinite-lived intangible assets Revenue Recognition ideally with franchisors Fixed Assets
