Our client is the leading independent distributor of life and health insurance products.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for the full cycle close: booking and maintaining JE s, preparing account reconciliations, as well as constant review and analysis of their assigned business units.
Strong communication will be needed to ensure timely and thorough Customer Service for all stakeholders and partners involved.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:
Responsible for all the accounting for their assigned subsidiaries, posting new entries, reconciling bank accounts, and performing balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts in the general ledger.
Complete monthly financial close.
Assist in the interim and year-end audit process
Training and mentoring 2-3 Offshore Accountants
Assisting Accounting Manager in various financial and operational accounting duties, controls, reviews, and analysis activities.
Documenting and monitoring internal controls in support of auditing teams
Senior Account Requirements:
CPA accreditation or in the process preferred/not required
Bachelor s Degree will look at Rockstars who have met all other criteria
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to prioritize and execute upon aggressive goals, objectives, and action items
Ability to solve problems on their own with minimal guidance
Ability to work under pressure with multiple projects and deadlines
