Senior Accountant

Critical Nurse Staffing LLC

This is a Full-time position in Grand Junction, CO posted September 29, 2021.

SUMMARY For Critical Nurse Staffing, LLC (“CNS”), this position is responsible for the completion of various recurring monthly assignments, including journal entries for month-end close, bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation, review of accounts payable entries, as well as assisting with payroll data entry, and accounts receivable/billing as needed.

COMPENSATION: Salary $50,000 + depending on experience ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Employee must have regular attendance/punctuality, be able to work with others at all levels of the Company and be completely honest.

Other assigned duties include: * Assist with monthly financial close including the preparation, posting and review of journal entries, performing balance sheet reconciliations and producing monthly reports.* Assist with monthly budget process.* Assist with the accounts receivable process cycle or individual elements thereof, including claims processing, posting payments, reconciliations and resubmittals.* Assist with the accounts payable process cycle or individual elements thereof, including data entry, check printing, transaction review and the application of company policy.* Assist with data entry and/or review of payroll related transactions, data and reports.* Compile and report daily/weekly/monthly patient related data.* Analyze and report monthly variances in revenue and expense.* Provide training and support to staff accountants and accounting clerks.* Assist Director of Finance, VP of Finance and/or CFO with more complex projects as needed.* Act as point person for Company and/or department projects.* Follow up on inquires and address questions or concerns in a timely manner.* Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible in changing priorities.* Other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field and five or more years of related experience; Preferred: Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field or work toward applicable licensure (CPA, CMA) may be considered in lieu of a portion of the experience requirement.

RELATED COMPETENCIES Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business practices, policies and procedures, professional journals, technical guidelines, and governmental regulations.

Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

Must be able to accurately and clearly provide guidance and direction to Company staff and employees.

Through the use of employment law and industry data, proactively identify Company risks and institute policies and/or procedures to ensure compliance.

Identify opportunities and take action to build strategic relationships between one’s area and other areas, teams, departments, units, or organizations to help achieve business goals.

Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities; have the ability to compare data from different sources to draw conclusions; utilize effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; take action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences.

Identify and drive Company and cultural changes needed to adapt strategically to changing market demands, technology, and internal initiatives; catalyzing new approaches to improve results by transforming Company culture, systems, or products/services.
