Senior Accountant
Maven is looking for a highly motivated individual with a background in public or corporate accounting to join the team as a Senior Accountant.
You will have the unique opportunity to help build out finance functions, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play a key role in the accounting team’s ability to scale in a high growth environment.
As a Senior Accountant at Maven, you will:
- Support the month end close process including closing entries, account reconciliations and analysis
- Review and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain detailed and accurate supporting workpapers
- Act as an accounting business partner for various cross-functional departments across the organization
- For assigned accounting areas, develop in-depth knowledge of financial reporting and how they interface with the general ledger
- Assist in building out operating procedures and controls for a growing team that will help drive IPO readiness
- Ability to identify opportunities to increase efficiency via process improvements, automation, etc.
- Perform other special projects and responsibilities, as assigned
We’re looking for you to bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
- CPA or working towards CPA
- Minimum three years of progressive work experience
- Proficiency with advanced formulas in Microsoft excel and Google Suite applications
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp focus on details
- Ability and desire to build and cultivate strong relationships with team members and internal business partners
Helpful experiences and skills (if you don’t have them, you can learn them with us!):
- Experience in telehealth or high growth startup
- Experience using Oracle Netsuite
