:The Director of Bank Portfolio Management is responsible for directing the prudent management of the Bank’s investment portfolio and related asset/liability functions by driving planning and prioritization decisions to achieve the goals set forth by our business strategies.
The Director maintains a proficiency with monetary and fiscal policies and their impact on credit markets and asset/liability matters, credit monitoring for current positions, and works directly with Senior Management and Investment Officers as a corporate Asset/Liability Committee (ALCO) member.This individual uses their expertise to engage our business partners in order to ensure portfolio outcomes and key results are managed for our legacy portfolio and separately managed accounts (SMA).
The Director will ensure Bank portfolio objectives are met with respect to program outcomes and identify, assess, and mitigate portfolio-level risks.
A high degree of strategic competence, analytical and statistical aptitude is required.Manage the bank’s investment portfolio including legacy portfolio and SMA’s.Perform pre-purchase, ongoing analysis, and due diligence activities.Monitor portfolio for compliance with ALCO/investment policy and pledging/liquidity purposes.Provide relevant information to asset/liability committee with respect to the portfolio.Advise management of current trends in national and international monetary policies.Provide guidance in developing broad bank investment policy and directing policy implementation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:10-15 years fixed-income investment experienceCertification (CFA, CFP) strongly encouraged4 year college degree or related work experienceAccuracy and meticulous attention to detail requiredExcellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to navigate multiple computer systems and programs with advanced knowledge of Word and ExcelAbility to manage multiple requests simultaneously, meet deadlines, and show flexibility to change direction when neededTeam-oriented and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organizationService-oriented, polite, and respectfulAdvanced problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to take direction and instruction and follow through independently until project completion HOURS:Regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
