Russell Tobin: Accountant

Russell Tobin is hiring an *Accountant* for one of our top Financial clients in *Hackensack, NJ!**Pay: *$33.29*Schedule: * 9a-6p (Local Candidates only; currently remote, but will return to office in hybrid setting once office reopens.)Performs daily accounting activities in accordance with generally accepted accounting procedures, such as, maintenance of the general ledger and preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports.

Familiar with a variety of general accounting concepts practices and procedures.*Key Responsibilities Include* Trade entry into portfolio accounting system Reconciliation of trades, investment positions and cash balances to external third parties (banks, prime brokers, counterparties) Resolution of trade breaks Valuation of client portfolios Coordinate fund expense accruals and authorizations.

Facilitate payment of all fund operating expenses.

Analyze fund accrual calculations Posting journal entries into general ledger accounting system Maintain Partnership Accounting System: Input and reconcile all contributions and withdrawals.

Allocate fund level profit/loss to individual investors Preparation of NAV calculations Calculate and disseminate financial and performance information to clients Prepare partnership investor statements for distribution to investors Prepare audit schedules and year-end financial statements*Basic Qualifications* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field, or equivalent work experience Two to five years of related experience in financial service operation preferred*Preferred Skills/Experience* Thorough knowledge in accounting, reporting, and analysis Ability to identify and resolve/escalate complex problems with minimal guidance Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applicationsJob Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $33.29 per hourBenefits:* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Vision insurancePhysical Setting:* OfficeSchedule:* Monday to FridayEducation:* Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:* Accounting: 3 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
