Relationship Banker

Providence Bank & Trust is a community bank with local roots since our inception in 2004. We are a well-capitalized and growing community bank with branches in Northwest Indiana, and Cook, Will and DuPage counties in Illinois. We are about service, as a bank and as a member of our community. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and team-oriented individual to join our Retail division.

This individual will be based in Orland Park, IL

WORK HOURS:

Lobby & Drive-up Monday – Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Schedule will vary and hours subject to change to meet business needs.

SUMMARY:

The Relationship Banker is responsible for enhancing customer relationships by providing excellent customer service while servicing all the customers’ financial needs from start to finish. The Relationship Banker will handle service transactions and new account openings for individual and business clients, will identify and act on opportunities and make referrals to business partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Support relationship building efforts within the branch.
• Perform various customer transactions and/or bank transactions within the branch.
• Contribute to branch operation.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Education – High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Experience – Two (2) years of job related experience preferably in banking, cash handling, sales and customer service environment.
• Other – Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Effective customer relationship building skills including ability to sell, cross-sell and refer products.
• Basic knowledge of retail products, policy, procedures, documentation and systems.
• Proven customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
