Reinsurance Constructs and Accounting Specialist78088The IPZ Reinsurance Constructs and Accounting team is seeking a Reinsurance Constructs and Accounting Specialist to focus on international reinsurance transactions with an end-to-end view.

Schaumburg is the preferred location, but we are open to the position being remote as well.

In this service-oriented role you will coordinate with regional Zurich offices to ensure accurate reinsurance transactions via the SAP/ZIRIS system and you will be responsible for the reconciliation and settlement process of these transactions with external reinsurers.

You will work in a dynamic, international environment and will communicate daily with a variety of Zurich internal stakeholders, external reinsurers and customers, and manage complex cases in an international environment.

Project work, training and occasional travel are a part of this role.If you have a drive to get things done, are open minded and will put the customer at the center of your actions and have a team mentality but enjoy tackling problems and proactively resolving issues quickly this position might be a great fit for you.Additional Responsibilities of this role include:+ Ensuring the correct set-up of Captive, Co-Reinsurance and Facultative Reinsurance structures within the SAP/ZIRIS system.+ Execution of technical bookings and related payments+ Timely and correct reconciliation of technical bookings with related cash items+ Performing analysis on existing SAP/ZIRIS reinsurance structures and corrections as required+ Clarifications related to cash clearing for any overdue un-cleared items.+ Monitoring progress and report on delays, develop action plans to reduce impact on closing processes where required.+ Data analysis and interpretation in order to identify patterns and proactively provide solutions.+ Providing excellent service to internal and external stakeholders and maintain good relationships with them.+ Continuous review, documentation and improvement of existing internal processes+ Active participation in project work and training initiativesBasic Qualifications:+ Bachelors Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Reinsurance, Insurance or Finance areaOR+ Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Reinsurance, Insurance or Finance areaOR+ High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Reinsurance, Insurance or Finance areaAND+ Microsoft Office experiencePreferred Qualifications:+ Intermediate knowledge of reinsurance contracts+ Intermediate knowledge of reinsurance claim recoverable process and link to direct claim processing+ Experience in accounts receivable /payable, as well as account reconciliation+ Technology experience related to one or more of the following areas: general ledger, financial reporting systems, business objects or other query tools+ Strong verbal and written communication skills+ A good understanding of international program business and knowledge of SAP FS-CD is a strong asset+ Strong analytical skills to combine the relevant information, to form general rules and/or draw conclusions+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and proactively identify potential issues or risks and to work with tight deadlines+ Strong intercultural and communication skills, ability to drive change+ Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPointA future with ZurichNow is the time to move forward and make a difference.
