Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst (Financial Services)

*Description* * Work with end users to capture detailed business requirements.

Gather requirements via user interviews, workshops, and other methods.

* Document user requirements in User Functional Specifications / Business Requirements Document, Data mapping specifications, Data flow, Workflow diagrams, etc.

* Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements.

Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards.

* Perform data analysis as part of requirements gathering and analysis, as well as later during testing stages to ensure good data quality and consistency.

* Define testing approach and strategy.

Create test scenarios and test cases.

Execute application tests.

* Coordinate testing strategy during test phases of the project such as Integration Testing, QA and UAT by coordinating with technical and business teams.

Obtain applicable sign offs.

* Assist BA/PMs with project management and coordination activities.

* Collaborate with technology teams to define high level functional and ensure technical architecture can support business requirements.

* Provide ongoing support to development team through all phases of the project to ensure technical implementation is in line with envisioned functional goals.

* Review designs and solutions to ensure they are in-line with architecture goals.

* Continuous improvement of the functional and technical environment.

* Write and review documentation as per standards defined by organizational processes.

*Experience working with Regulatory Reporting projects such as FR2052A, Call Report, FR Y-15, or others REQUIRED.* *Client cannot offer sponsorship.

* Financial services or banking experience preferred * Experience in regulatory change or compliance role either as a Compliance Business Analyst preferred * A visible track record of delivering regulatory driven projects with fixed deadlines, either implementation or remediation * Regulatory reporting and compliance experience within OTC derivatives is also preferable * Strong understanding of SBSD, CFTC Swap Dealer, and SEC Security Based Swap Dealer regulations * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * The ability to prioritize tasks, manage large workloads, and execute deliverables with tight deadlines * Excellent Microsoft Office skills and other Business Analyst and Project Management tools *Client cannot offer sponsorship.
