CorTech Staffing is looking for a Quality Inspector in the Anderson area!

Shift Details: Monday – Friday (some weekends if mandatory)
Hours: 11pm – 7pm
Payrate: $12.90 – $13.40/hr

Job Description

Objective:

Under general supervision is responsible for the inspection of gaskets to ensure product is defect-free before it is shipped. The inspection may include repair and replacement – time permitting

Job Duties:

*Check corners and faces of gaskets for defects in accordance with visual defect standards and control plans.
*Perform repair on gaskets as needed in accordance with visual defect standards.
*Isolate defective gaskets and/or hot rails as necessary when defective product is found. Notify to operators, group leaders and production supervisor.
*Identify rejected material with QDR Hold Tags.
*Use audits reports to record the results of their inspections.
*Measure sample of gaskets on each rack and record dimensions in their respective digital measuring system and/or spec sheets.
*Measure rails and magnets (if the magnet is required), and record dimensions in their respective spec sheets.
*Measure profiles in Keyence and document profile dimensions on their respective spec sheets.
*Make PVC to repair material.
*Print and provide labels, spec sheets, and routings as necessary to production operators.
*Release products according to their specifications defined on drawings, routings, dimensions controls, or spec sheets.
*Verify identification of finished products. Put initials or QC approved stamp on the labels.
*Performs other quality control activities as assigned.
* Performs other non-hazardous duties as assigned.
*Count and report the gaskets/parts produced by the splicers.
* Count scrap parts and their disposition.
*Return gasket defect report.
*Keep work area clean and orderly.

Education Requirements:

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Quality control and/or inspection experience preferred.
Must be able to read and write.

Abilities:

Good communication.
Able to walk, stand, turn, reach, lift, carry, push, pull, handle, feel, see, differentiate colors, climb, sit and bend.
Must be able to identify a good product and a defective one based on standards provided.
