Objective
Utilizes project management strategies to plan and implement projects within the constraints of scope, cost, quality, time, and client expectation. Provides reports on progress and outcomes. In this role, you will work collaboratively with various department managers to analyze costs, assess vendor relationships, and maximize profitability. To succeed in this position, you will demonstrate an aptitude for efficiency, problem-solving, and resourcefulness, with a deep commitment to the bottom line without compromising quality.
Duties and responsibilities
Manages project planning and tracking, managing scope, activity, delivery, budget and reporting to achieve Miller Integrated Solutions’ strategic goals.
- Aligns and manages client expectations. Communicates to internal and external audiences the project timelines and progress.
- Monitor and collect date from project management team to determine project progression according to budget.
- Provide critical assessment of all budgets and cost projections
- Assess all incoming products, resources, and services to ensure the best price
- Maintain vendor and service provider relationships
- Analyze invoices to ensure correct products/services were received at the expected cost
Qualifications/Experience/ Skills and Attributes
- BS Degree in Engineering or Business or related field; or demonstrated equivalent and related experience.
- Previous Project Controls and/or Project Analyst experience in a similar field.
- Some experience working in a planning position for engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and construction projects is required.
- Familiar with construction drawings, specifications and construction contracting, and ability to review and understand engineering, procurement and construction schedule logic.
- Capable of producing from limited project information a conceptual schedule from initiation through to closeout; able to identify major phases through that timeline and able to determine and discuss dependencies.
- Must have experience working closely with various disciplines in project teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the schedules produced without compromising independence.
- Certification by AACE in planning/scheduling or equivalent (PMP, PSP) preferred
- Cost engineering and estimating knowledge.
- Possess good written and oral communication skills.
