DNV – Digital Solutions is seeking a Project Controller in the Finance team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring strong financial control of projects. This includes compliance, computing, classifying, recording, and verifying numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records. The candidate will report to the Region Americas Business Controller for Consulting/Delivery.  The position may be based in our Houston TX or Mechanicsburg PA offices.

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure that all new projects set up from Salesforce are input into Oracle with the correct financial data and ensure contract documentation.
  • Basware: Processing of internal and external invoices / project payables
  • External and Internal invoicing for all projects within deadlines for the primary units and assistance as needed with the secondary units
  • Assist with IORA preparation and ensure proper IORA Budgets input to Oracle Project
  • Assist with financial proposal reviews as needed or requested
  • Assist with training project managers in financial systems to have a better understanding of the monthly project reports
  • Interact with customers regarding invoice questions and/or other concerns
  • Review WIP and project financial performance with project managers, Section and Department Heads
  • Financial analysis of projects
  • Maintain and manage monthly closing checklist and tasks
  • Monthly project accruals
  • Assist with preparation of monthly reports for Head of Department
  • Assist credit controller with follow-up of accounts receivable as needed
  • Assist employees or customers by answering question related to accounts, procedures, projects, and services.
  • Assist with Consulting/Delivery forecast and AOP preparation
  • Identifying current processes for process improvement
  • Other duties as required

Position Qualifications

What is Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline or minimum of 2 years of project accounting experience
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Strong sense of urgency for deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Self-motivated
  • Flexibility and adaptability – as issues and tasks may change quickly
  • Physical abilities necessary to perform regular functions of the job (standing, lifting, climbing, other)
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • We conduct pre-employment drug and background screening

Preferred Skills

  • Experience using Oracle accounting software preferred
  • Experience using Salesforce software preferred
  • Experience PowerBI model usage and development preferred
  • Experience with TEAM / Agresso software a plus
