Candidates should have prior related coursework in business, finance and accounting or relevant work experience (e.g.

asset management, accounting, finance, etc.).

Reporting to the Head of Alternative Investments, the Private Equity Analyst will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the investment process and management of NLG’s existing portfolio of private equity investments, totaling approximately $1.2 billion in current market value.?

The portfolio spans multiple strategies, including leveraged buyouts, growth equity, venture capital, private credit, distressed, natural resources and real assets.Position Responsibilities* Assist in the review and evaluation of new investment opportunities, including performing fund and company analysis, and preparation of financial models and analyses* Contribute to the production of written communication materials in support of investment decisions, including investment committee memos and PowerPoint presentations* Analyze and monitor existing portfolio investments, review quarterly and annual reports, monthly financials, etc.* Provide support to senior investments professionals with the tracking and screening of new investment opportunities* Develop and improve reports to provide portfolio performance data, market research and analytics, benchmarking, and other relevant information to senior management on an ongoing basisTHE PERSONPivotal Experience & Expertise* BA/BS degree required, ideally with coursework in Business, Finance, Economics or Accounting* Demonstrated track record of academic and professional success* 1+ years of related work experience with existing knowledge of private equity markets a plus* Experience with data and financial statement analysis with financial modeling experience preferred* Strong analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills with ability to work independently and as part of a team* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills* Detail oriented individual with a focus on performance and results* Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skillsCultural Fit* Results-driven mindset* A coach who knows how to guide others
