JOB DESCRIPTIONThe senior accountant is responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.Essential Responsibilities: * ?

Analyzes complex financial reports and records* ?

Prepares financial statements and produce budget according to schedule* ?

Performs variance analyses and prepares account reconciliations* ?

Reviews and recommends modifications to accounting systems and procedures* ?

Participates in financial standards setting and in forecast process* ?

Directs internal and external audits to ensure compliance* ?

Plans, assigns and reviews staff?s work* ?

Supports month-end and year-end close process* ?

Develops and documents business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen controls* ?

Train?s and mentors junior staff* ?

Other duties as assignedQualifications: * ?

Bachelors of Science in Accounting, Finance or equivalent from an accredited university* ?

Four to six years progressively responsible experience in the accounting* ?

Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).* ?

Knowledge of Statutory accounting principles.* ?

Strong analytical and accounting skills.* ?

Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, etc.* ?

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of major accounting software packages for both general ledger andstatutory accounting* ?

Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.* ?

Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.* ?

Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty.* ?

The individual will be expected to work with minimal up-front guidance and take ownership of his / herwork product.
