Payroll Accountant – Buckhead

Creative Financial Staffing has partnered with an Atlanta-area non-profit organization to identify a Payroll Accountant to join their team in Buckhead. This position is a key member of the accounting team, reporting directly to the Controller.

The Payroll Accountant’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare both mid-month and end-of-month payroll processing for hourly and salary employees as well as special pay requests
• Perform reconciliations of payroll and benefit accounts (benefit elections, insurance premiums, payroll deductions)
• Maintain and update all necessary employee records for accurate pay rates and voluntary deductions
• Calculate retirement plan contribution funding
• Respond to employee questions
• Other duties as assigned

The Payroll Accountant’s Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Minimum of 2 years’ related experience
• Non-profit or education experience a plus
• Able to work in fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and prioritization skills
• Able to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
