Nuance: Revenue Accountant

We are seeking a Revenue Accountant for our Accounting and Revenue Operations team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing detailed reconciliations of activity and balances associated with assigned business processes to ensure completeness and accuracy.

This includes providing best in class support to management and other business stakeholders to ensure their understanding of period activities and balances and to support their forecasting efforts.The expectation is that the Revenue Accountant develops a detailed understanding of all associated systems and processes that will allow them to provide ongoing recommendations for continuous improvement.

This position will report to the Sr.

Manager of Revenue Operations and work closely with other members of the Accounting and Revenue Operations team as well as other groups, such as Sales, Operations, Finance, Order-To-Cash, IT, and the Technical Revenue Accounting team.Responsibilities:Prepare and review detailed reconciliations of balance sheet accounts (such as Contract Assets and Contract Liabilities) that include analytical procedures to validate that the activity and balances are complete and accurate.Review and record entries to the Oracle general ledger as part of performing above reconciliations.Lead cross-functional meetings with internal stakeholders where revenue results are reviewed and be responsible for providing explanations, researching issues, and making corrections, as necessary.Serve as primary point of contact for internal customers who have questions on balances, activity, and/or specific transactions that come into the team via internal ticketing system.Develop and execute analytical procedures for quarter end balance sheet flux review which includes understanding and explaining changes quarter over quarter & quarter over year end by revenue type and line of business at the end of the quarter.Maintain appropriate internal controls and support external audit activities and audit preparation.Support external statutory reporting requirements as needed.Be one of our subject matter experts on ERP functionality as it relates to the Order to Cash process and how it integrates with our revenue management system, RevPro, and other reporting tools.Identify, document, and drive continuous improvement opportunities in system capabilities and processes and partner with IT and other stakeholders to implement.Required Skills & Qualifications:3+ years of accounting experience in a publicly traded company and/or public accounting firmBachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or related fieldExperience working with large Financial ERP systems (i.E.
