Job Posting Description Finance AssociateMarcum LLP is seeking a Finance Associate for the New Haven, CT office.
Individuals to be considered must have strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting.

We are committed to practicing work/life balance and offer extremely competitive salary and benefit packages.JOB DESCRIPTION:Reporting responsibilities will be to back up daily, weekly and monthly production reporting for the New England Region and the entire firm.
Effectively handle requests for additional reporting across the firm which will require excellent Excel skills, and the ability to learn firm’s time and billing software.General Accounting responsibilities will include handling basic accounting functions, and reporting, as well as helping on special projects as needed, to include assisting with review of client/engagement set up for report accuracy production.
The position will have reporting requirements related to production, utilization, scorecard, charge hour and FTE analysis, and various department reporting to be completed on a weekly and monthly reporting for local and national offices.
The position will also serve as a backup to assist with monthly expense reporting review, cash receipts and accounts receivable and marketing actual to budget reporting.The ideal candidate must have excellent communication and time management skills including the ability to learn and perform in a fast-paced, multi-faceted deadline driven environment.QualificationsAbility to work independently and/or in a team environment Understanding of basic accounting functions, processes and proceduresExcellent time management skills; Must meet very specificdeadlines Multi-task oriented with ability to prioritize tasks accordinglyExtremely organized, demonstrated professional written and oral communication skills Ability to follow reporting processes step by step with no deviationsAdvanced Excel knowledge (i.E.
