Manager – Patient Financial Services

**Overview**the **Manager, Patient Financial Services** oversees and performs front-end clinical operations and Insurance Network functions which include but are not limited to admissions, financial clearances, credentialing, and provider enrollment services.**Responsibilities**1.

Create a positive working environment setting high work and ethical standards by providing leadership and a positive example to staff and customers.2.

Operate all of the benefit verification, authorization, rate negotiation, admitting and registration systems of the Patient Financial Services (PFS) Department.3.

Operate all of the credentialing and provider enrollment processes of PFS.4.

Provide daily management of Financial Counselors and Insurance Network Specialist; create and implement strategies for tracking financial clearance, credentialing, and provider enrollment.5.

Serve as a liaison between Clinical Care Managers, Patient Financial Services and Patient Accounting.6.

Liaison between Patient Accounting and contracted payors for account resolution purposes.7.

Administer Facility and Group Credentialing Process with commercial, local and out of state Medicaid payors.8.

Delegate and manage inpatient admitting process and on-call rotation,9.

Delegate and manage verification and documentation of patient health insurance coverage, health plan provisions, or other third party payment plan arrangements.10.

Provide oversight of Medical Assistance 3808 authorization and billing process.

Monitor and facilitate the long-term care applications process to ensure timely billing.11.

Estimate deposit requirements, determine patient liability, establish payment arrangements, and monitor payment agreements with Patient Accounting.12.

Ensure complete and accurate information is entered into the registration system and ensure all necessary and required signatures for clinical and financial documentation are entered.13.
