We are currently hiring for a Manager, Financial Reporting . The location of the Manager is flexible. The Manager is responsible for management and oversight of financial reporting in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Additional responsibilities include supervising activities related to AHA’s financial reporting systems, technical accounting matters, audit management and related financial reporting projects.

Responsibilities
Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and supplemental analysis to support review of financial results with senior leadership.
Develop and initiate process improvements to scale and optimize the financial reporting process. Leverage AHA’s financial reporting system (Hyperion Essbase) to provide appropriate and accurate reports for analysis.
Prepare annual financial statements and footnotes in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Lead technical accounting research and evaluation in a variety of areas. Work cross functionally to ensure appropriate accounting treatment and prepare memos and analysis supporting conclusions.
Direct and monitor support operations as well as holds training for new and existing staff on AHA accounting policies and procedures.
Coordinate and manage the annual financial statement audit by external auditors.
Facilitate/coordinate the process of implementing new accounting standards to ensure timely compliance.
Prepare and coordinate financial data for external distribution and internal analysis (e.g. survey requests, watch dog agencies, peer benchmarking, etc.)
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related area including active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) License.
Minimum of five (5) years of experience with the preparation, review and analysis of financial statements; general ledger accounting and financial analysis.
Extensive understanding of U.S. GAAP, including interpretation and application of accounting standards.
Prior supervisory experience.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to identify, promote, and implement change and efficiencies.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; hands on experience with ERP systems.
