Summary The Manager, Commercial & Wholesale Operations is responsible for operations within approved guidelines & procedures to maximize efficiency, customer service and controls for their operating team.
The Manager is responsible for oversight for vendor services, and operational reporting of KPIs, KRI and controls.
The Manager is responsible for implementing programs within approved guidelines & procedures to develop and maintain an engaged workforce, with career growth opportunities.
Duties & Responsibilities Ensures adherence to all Company policies and procedures relative to Regulatory Compliance including but not limited to the Company Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, Anti-Money Laundering Act, Privacy Act, Regulations Q& X, Customer identification Program, Know Your Customer, Suspicious Activity Reports Ensures all transactions within their Operating Unit are executed properly in order to minimize the Company’s exposure to operational risks and to protect from losses Ensures controls are being accurately executed Ensures transactions are executed at or exceeding operational Service Level Agreements.
Executes transactions to ensure compliance with the Company’s policies and procedures concerning loans, letters of credit Facilitates teamwork within their team and continuity across operational units Manages day-to-day operational activities for defined area Monitors operational systems and procedures for their Operating Unit to make daily operations meet defined guidelines Participates in projects as requested Periodically reviews of the relevant procedures to ensure appropriate control and consistency with bank regulation At Santander, we value and respect differences in our workforce and strive to increase the diverstiy of our teams.

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent field, or equivalent work experience 5-9 years relevant work experience in loan operations, lending, credit, or banking and management experience Experience with LaserPro/LawyerPro and editing Word documents Subject matter expert in loan closing documentation for the business banking and/or commercial banking segment Basic knowledge of SBA 7A and express documentation requirements Ability to initiate and interact with internal legal counsel and internal service partners Leadership skills with strong ability to work independently and make reliable judgements based upon defined policies and practices Ability to adapt quickly and be a team player Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of banking products Expert knowledge of overall lending policies and procedures, loan structures, borrowing entity structures, reporting requirements and covenants, due diligence for lein perfection, etc.
Ability to clearly convey complex concepts and issues in a concise way Ability to meet deadlines Ability to review and interpret legal documentation supporting these products Excellent communication, good organizational skills, and attention to details Expertise in continuously reviewing workflow and the ability to functionalize ideas for organizational change Ability to ensure all departmental structural and procedural changes are implemented where necessary In depth knowledge of market initiatives to streamline and automate Middle Office support functions Knowledge of Banking Regulations and Standard Practices Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for Syndicated and Commercial loans Solid knowledge/skills of Microsoft Office Suite and various bank systems, especially Word Strong knowledge of the Syndicated and Commercial Loan products and markets Working knowledge in Commercial Banking Job : Business Operations Primary Location : Pennsylvania-Reading-601 Penn Street
