JOB DESCRIPTION The DLA is in need of Management Analyst (Financial) to aid in their mission.
To ensure organizational results and client objectives are met, said Management Analyst will be required to assist in Financial/Budget Operations, Audit/Sustainment, and Business Records/Support Agreements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Includes the following: Assist in preparing financial briefings to DM-FE leadership.
Assist and advise DM-FE with actions for data cleansing, aged liquidated obligations, and coordination of evidential matter.
Assist with Wide Area Work Flow, Invoicing, Receipts, Acceptance and iRAPT as needed to research/close out acquisition requirements.
Assist with Funding Document Requests and Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests, including generating, amending, and obligating MIPRs.
Maintain shared Microsoft Excel files of all purchase orders, commitments, obligations, and expenses in appropriate Fiscal Year (FY) budget log for specific project tracking.
Including balancing fund center checkbooks.
Improve financial status by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; and reporting findings to Government PoC.
Track spending against multiple fund centers and reporting financial status daily, weekly, and monthly, outlining key performance indicators Research blocked invoices and Unmatched Disbursements Provide end of month variance report EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Completion of a BA/BS in Business, Finance, Accounting or a closely related field or similar discipline.
Minimum 3 years professional business experience, preferably in a federal setting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Well-developed and professional interpersonal skills.
Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently within a team environment and with a customer service focus.
Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and DoD Policy Knowledge of SAP systems for researching evidential matter.
Superior organizational skills required with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there is a 100% telework policy in place.
Post pandemic, the employee will be required to work onsite at DLA Headquarters, Ft.
Belvoir.
The physical environment requires the employee to work inside and at a computer station/desk.
The employee is expected to work in a solo environment but also collaborate with team members and project manager when requested.
