Job Overview:The Sr.

Application Support Engineer provides technical expertise related to various customer facing applications.

Plans work with Product Owner to define technical requirements and any support related changes.

The Sr.

Application Support Analyst will be responsible for supporting various applications including real time and batch applications.

The role would require to partner with peers, business stakeholders, and colleagues from within and outside the application support team, to maintain and support the application, analyze and troubleshoot the production problems, and perform defect remediation.

Responsibilities:Work collaboratively with IT and business team members to resolve the production issues.Troubleshoot production issues of different criticalities with appropriate urgency and maintain the application uptime as per defined SLAsPerform incident resolution against established SLAs and ensure proper documentation (SOP) of the solution procedureRound the clock commitment to maintain the application availability against business SLAs.Proactively identify, diagnose, take corrective action and resolve application system incidents and problemsParticipate in planning sessions regarding application, hardware and software changes.

Actively engaged in pre and post implementation reviews.Perform & oversee the troubleshooting, defect fixing, testing, and production deployment activitiesPrepare technical designs for modifications and integrations to applications to support business processes and requirementsManage technical handover of new applications/enhancements from Project team to Production SupportCollaborate closely with IT team and vendors to understand the architecture and design and as warranted submit change requests for system improvementsDocument, communicate and escalate technical issues, manage to resolution and articulate business impactComply with and help create/update policies and procedures, including standard operating procedure (SOP).

Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field8-10 years of hands-on experience with production support, incident response, bug fixes major and minor enhancementsExperience building web applicationsExperience with Middleware such as REST or SOAP services in .NET, Mulesoft, and/or Tibco,Database Development such as Microsoft Sql Server or Oracle.Understanding of client / browser technologiesCore Competencies:Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools and technologiesExperience with testing tools and testing methodologyAbility to learn new applications quickly, and support them in productionAbility to think on both broad and detailed levelsExcellent analytical abilities.

Demonstrated problem solving skills in complex system environmentHigh tolerance for ambiguity matched with desire to organize itStrong verbal, written and communication and presentation skillsTeam player, with ability to work in a highly collaborative environment Preferences:Extensive understanding of BPM workflow (Appway a plus)BRMS experience a plus (FICO a plus)Unix and Java development experience a plusApplication monitoring tools, Solarwinds and DyantraceCI/CD using TFS, Team City, and Octopus.
