Overview Summary of Position RequirementsResponsible for the accounting and reconciliation of balance sheet, homebuilding reporting, managing land acquisition accounting and related wire requests, managing SG& A budgets with department Directors and prepare and review month-end reports.
Responsibilities Assist with month-end-close process, including inventory and cost of sales itemsMaintain sound accounting methods and systems in accordance with corporate policies and proceduresPrepare bank account and general ledger reconciliationsAssist with monthly revenue entries, various month-end accruals, re-class and allocation entriesManage month-end balance sheet packageRun month-end Corporate reports and review for accuracyRecord cash receipts entriesPrepare and submit required weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting to Region and CorporateReview and record wire transfersProvide weekly and monthly statistical/financial reporting to Division ManagementProjects assigned by Corporate, Division President or ControllerAssist in various other projects as required/needed Qualifications Education and Experience RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting required, CPA preferredFive+ (5+) years related accounting and financial experience, homebuilding experience preferredAdvanced computer skills experience required– Microsoft Word and Excel (Vlookup and Pivot); experience with use of JD Edwards, Essbase and Hyperion highly preferredExcellent attention to detailAbility to multi-tasks, coordinate meetings with Department Directors and meet deadlinesExcellent communication, analytical and writing skills as well as supervisory skills#CB
