Lead Analyst – Market Feasibility & Investment Analyst

Job Description

Kforce has a client in Atlanta, GA looking for a Market Feasibility and Investment Analyst to join their team. This person will be responsible for initial financial and investment analysis for architectural development opportunities including management contract, franchise contract, and joint-venture transactions. They will perform market analysis, P&L build-up and other ad-hoc analysis for architectural development opportunities. This person will coordinate the tracking of occupancy and ADR performance numbers, and provide reporting information and related analysis to internal developers and operators. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Underwrite proposed transactions including coordinating the generation of pro-forma projections and capital papers to be presented to the regional committee * Market Feasibility Analysis – Obtain historical occupancy and ADR performance for the competitive set from Smith Travel * Review historical supply and demand growth patterns for the competitive set, and identify any known additions to supply/demand in the market * Project occupancy and ADR for the Subject and determine viability of the Subject within the market * Draft commentary to support financial schedules * Perform market analyses for specially targeted MSA (major service areas) to include studies of existing hotel supply, potential additions to supply, current/future demand generators, and market specific trends * Perform statistical analyses and create accurate charts, tables and graphs in the correct format and within established time frames as required * Select and use appropriate software to effectively analyze data * Compile and analyze information

Required Skills

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Hotel Management, or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience *MUST HAVE 2-4 years progressive work-related experience in hospitality financial analysis, forecasting, statistical analysis, data mining or similar, with demonstrated mastery of technical and business knowledge and understanding of multiple disciplines/processes related to the position * Demonstrated clear, concise and succinct communication skills, including adapting both verbal and written communication to the needs and level of user * Demonstrated ability to communicate supportive program details (presentation, analysis) to present a persuasive argument or to effectively negotiate a position to all levels of an organization, including senior management * Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the relevant labor market, economic conditions, and industry trends * Demonstrated ability to analyze these factors and draw logical conclusions * Demonstrated customer service skills to effectively gather necessary information from third parties * Demonstrated ability to use statistical mining software and related programs, as well as to generate documents or reports in Excel, Word and PowerPoint * Determines the results of analysis and presents final reports / recommendations to Manager/Director for review * Independently determines course of action for gathering information * Questions are referred to Manager/Director * Ability to travel up to 20% of time required * Majority of work is performed in a normal office or hotel environment Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
