The Lead Actuary
– Annuity Model Development role will support the timely and controlled development of the Annuity GMxB cash flow projection models.
Responsibilities include: Partner closely with Valuation, Assumptions, Accounting Policy, Pricing and Risk Management teams in the development of sustainable annuity GMxB projection models, compliant with emerging accounting and regulatory frameworks Implement processes, infrastructure, and controls to ensure accurate and timely delivery of Annuity projection models and results Examples of model development work include, but are not limited to: VA Statutory and Capital reform and GAAP Long Duration Targeted improvements Economic Capital and Value of New Business frameworks Finance Modernization initiatives to transform models, processes and analytics Implementing, quantifying and reviewing assumption and model updates Ensure compliance with company model architecture standards and change management governance processes Manage 1 – 2 actuarial students; participate in the development of actuarial talent within the team and facilitate a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing culture Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Statistics and/or Actuarial Science Career ASA Designation 2 years of modeling, valuation and/or pricing experience 5 years of actuarial experience Preferred Qualifications FSA Designation Knowledge of annuity products with focus on GMxBs Experience building and improving actuarial models (AXIS preferred) Proven communication and project management skills with the ability to manage a small team Results oriented, accountable for performance, and motivated to take ownership of projects Capacity and eagerness to challenge and influence in a highly collaborative way Use this link to chat with Wendy, our AI recruiter, to learn more about this position https://talktowendy.co/equitable-lead-act-ann-model-dev-2000053v
