Knight Transportation: Staff Accountant Ii

Responsibilities Assist with month-end close including preparation of accurate and timely financial statements General ledger account reconciliation including, but not limited to, complex balance sheet reconciliations Bank reconciliations Preparing journal entries Review and analysis of income statements and balance sheets fluctuations Assisting accounting team with preparation of internal and external financial statements Assist with preparation of period end audit workpapersSkills/ Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting 2-4 Years of corporate accounting experience Comfortable in fast paced, high intensity transportation accounting environment Desire to learn and improve processes and procedures Strong computer skills/technology proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort in working with multiple software packages Strong oral and written communications and interpersonal skills Commitment to organizational skills and time management Strong emphasis on meeting tight deadline windows Detail oriented, with ability to organize, prioritize, and work well independently or with others to meet all required deadlines
