Overview: We are currently searching for qualified candidates to join our team as an Investment Analyst in our Overland Park office.

Responsibilities: Contribute to the development of the overall Investment Management Group function, improving methods and tools utilizedPerform sourcing, researching, monitoring, and making recommendations on investment strategiesProvide reports from Bloomberg, eVestment, Morningstar, Zephyr, FIRM and other analytical toolsDevelop and generate monthly/quarterly reporting packages as requiredCommunicate with investment managers to evaluate investment philosophy, process, personnel and performanceExtract and interpret both quantitative and qualitative data to help drive decision makingCreate and maintain detailed due diligence reports and document ongoing monitoring of investment managersUse Zephyr, Morningstar Direct, and other analysis tools to assist in investment strategy due diligenceParticipate in creation of agenda and preparation of materials for investment committee meetingsDevelop and present research findings to investment committee, advisors and others as neededAttend and present at some client investment reviews as neededInvestment Selection and Monitoring for 300 plus retirement plansTrack and interact with record keepers on eligibility of fundsParticipate in preparation of quarterly market and economic data for distribution to retirement plansParticipate in managing cash balance pension plansAd hoc tasks, special projects and other duties as required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree in business-related field requiredProgress toward or completion of MBA and/or relevant professional qualifications such as CFA, CIMA or CAIA a plusInvestment or retirement plan-related experience in a professional office environment a plusSkills and KnowledgeAnalytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailEffective oral and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office suiteAbility to multi-task, manage workload, and complete projects on timeOccasional travel required (<20%)We welcome your interest in being a part of the Mariner Wealth Advisors team.We offer associates an innovative and challenging place to work with camaraderie and teamwork.We have a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial culture that respects people and values talent, experience and ambition.
